Aggie Weekly
Good Afternoon Students, Parents, and Community Members:
With a short week due to our 83rd Annual Fall Show, it hardly felt like a short week! Our students and the Vo-Ag departments were working at 100% this week in preparation for this weekend’s events. It is absolutely amazing to see the quality of work, skill, and knowledge, in their vo-ags.
Bristol Aggie is Level 1! Click the link to see the article in the Taunton Gazette
All Massachusetts districts with sufficient data are classified into one of five accountability and assistance levels, with the highest performing in Level 1 and lowest performing in Level 5. The Progress and Performance Index (PPI) combines information about narrowing proficiency gaps, student growth, graduation and dropout rates into a single number. Based on all those factors, Bristol Aggie is at the top tier for Massachusetts schools. Additionally, since Massachusetts schools rank highest in the nation, one could conclude that Bristol Aggie education is among the finest in the nation as well.
Where does Massachusetts rank nationally? From the Department of Education
Massachusetts public schools are leading the nation. The numbers show Massachusetts public schools and students are at the top:
But that isn't all that we're proud of:
- Students recognized at the national level for accomplishments in overall academics, the arts, and vocational/technical skills
- A strong teacher workforce that includes a National Teacher of the Year
- A shared commitment to welcoming and supporting all students regardless of race, ethnicity, immigration status, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or gender
- A shared recognition that despite our successes, we need to and can do better for many students

Hello Parents and Guardians of Students at Bristol County Agricultural High School,
I am writing to inform you of our first SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Council) meeting for the 2017-2018 school year scheduled for October 30, 2017 at 6:00pm in the library of Bristol County Agricultural High School. This group will meet several times throughout the school year to discuss special education services and supports as well as other topics that are determined by the council.
At our first meeting, I would like to discuss and develop bylaws which are required by the Department of Education. We will discuss the election of the council’s officers and their duties as well as drafting/updating our SEPAC Mission Statement. This is a parent led group so you are also encouraged to share ideas for any topics you would like us to discuss at future meetings.
If you are interested in joining the SEPAC but are unable to attend this scheduled meeting, we will be looking to schedule our Annual Parent Training sometime in November and I encourage you to reach out to me anytime to share your thoughts, questions, or concerns.
I look forward to working with each of you and growing our BCAHS SEPAC!
Thank you,
Dr. Marie-Juanita D. DiGioia
