Bristol County Agricultural High School: Aggie Weekly- Summer Edition

Good Afternoon Students, Parents, and Community Members:

We hope that everyone enjoyed a fun, safe, and relaxing summer. We are excited to welcome back our students to fully in-person learning five days a week! We will be hosting a Virtual Town Hall on Wednesday, August 25th at 6:00 pm (immediately following the Freshman Orientation meeting on zoom) to discuss our return to school plan regarding masks and the construction project. Please check your email for more information.

All students grades 10-12 can access student schedules via PowerSchool. Freshman will receive their schedules at Freshman Academy next week. We will be sending instructions separately to freshman parents. We are still making minor adjustments to schedules, so please make sure you check your schedules for updates, especially before the first day of school on Tuesday, August 31st.

We continue to encourage families to stay connected with the Bristol Aggie community. The Bristol Aggie Blog, allows students, parents, staff, and community members to stay informed of what is happening at Bristol Aggie. You can sign up for daily emails to ensure you don’t miss anything! You can also view the calendar feature which lists all the events that are happening at BA daily. We continue to believe that “It takes a village” to support a child and we want you to stay connected and please inform us of any information that would benefit your child. 1:1 Technology Policy

TECHNOLOGY MAINTENANCE & EXTENDED WARRANTY (TMEW): Bristol County Agricultural High School will protect the device against virus and malware, and malfunctioning components. If the Surface GO is damaged intentionally or through misuse or carelessness, you will be responsible for the replacement/repair costs. Lost/Stolen items are not covered by the TMEW. If a SurfaceGO is lost/stolen, the replacement cost is approximately $580 (keyboard, screen, and cover). Starting with the Class of 2024, graduates from BCAHS, you will be able to get their device restored to factory settings and keep the device for a $75.00 buyout fee. Individuals are responsible for backing up their personal files prior to factory reset.

1:1 DEVICE DEPLOYMENT: Prior to picking up the device below, you must have the Surface GO Agreement form completed.

The collection of the $75.00 will be collected through MySchoolBucks (stay tuned for more information in September after school starts).

Name: Ms. Sharp

Hobbies: Education and animals, while my favorite hobby is crafting
What is 1 thing you want your students to know about you?

I love to teach and I find creating a fun, yet productive, interactive learning environment is the best way to learn.

What is 1 thing you want your parents/community to know about you?

My goal is to offer guidance, build confidence and help all my new students become the best versions of themselves in and outside of the classroom

What are you most excited about for the 2021-2022 school year?

Meeting new faces, personalities and starting this journey as a teacher for Bristol Aggie.

As an alumni, I feel so incredibly fortunate to be back at the school that helped make me the person I am today & I cannot wait to meet all my new students to welcome them to the incredible Bristol Aggie Family !

Hobbies: My hobbies include coaching color guard, playing with my dog and watching entirely too many HGTV and Food Network shows. I also love Disney and spending time with my friends and family.
What is 1 thing you want your students to know about you?

I know that not every student is going to graduate and want to be a historian and that's ok! My goal is to help you learn skills that you will use in any field you choose and work with you to understand how our past connects our present.

What is 1 thing you want your parents/community to know about you?

I'd like parents and the community to know that I truly believe in the phrase "it takes a village" and that by working together in the best interests of our students, we can collectively raise the next generation of successful, kind and well-informed individuals.

What are you most excited about for the 2021-2022 school year?

I am looking forward to meeting the students and faculty and finding ways to learn and connect with each other that are fun and interesting!

Hobbies: My hobbies are reading, gardening, visiting museums, spending time outdoors, and being with my family. I am passionate about learning new things.
What is 1 thing you want your students to know about you?

My door is always open. I will make myself available if a student wants to discuss the current lesson, is in need of a friendly ear, or would just like to chat.

What is 1 thing you want your parents/community to know about you?

I think of education as a collaborative undertaking - we all play an equally important role in ensuring students reach their full potential.

What are you most excited about for the 2021-2022 school year?

I am looking forward to getting to know my new students!

I am most excited to start our new Environmental Engineering program!

Student Parking Parking Form: NEW Parking Requests
