In the Classroom
Flori: Sophomore Flori students traveled to Olson’s Greenhouse in Raynham to learn about greenhouse production and greenhouse management. The owner Matt Piscitelli gave the students a tour of the 30 acres of greenhouse production. Olson’s has been a family business, celebrating its 100th birthday in 2016. Owners Clive V. Olson and Matthew J. Piscitelli, are proud to continue offering premium quality plants and high value services. With more than a Century of growing experience, Olson’s is a recognized leader in the wholesale flower production industry throughout New England.
Flori: The senior Flori students competed in the Attleboro Arts Museum’s 25th Annual Flower Show and placed 3rd. This year’s theme was Songs of Spring – Nature’s Music. The goal was to transform the Museum gallery into a melodious masterpiece with a focus on specific musical instruments. Exhibitors were asked to choose one instrument and design a gallery garden display inspired by its unique attributes, sounds, songs and or atmosphere/mood it creates. The BCHAS flori students selected the koto-a Japanese silk stringed instrument.
Animal Science: Sophomore Equine Science and Senior Large Animal students, along with Large Animal instructors and foremen, participating in today's MSPCA Equine Emergency Rescue Certification course here on campus.
