This week’s HIGH 5 CLUB Senior of Week-TYLER TAVARES

FFA Breakfast: Friday morning Junior Rachel Harrington and Sophomore Julianna Dufresne attended the Bristol County Farm Bureau Legislative Breakfast on behalf of the Bristol FFA Chapter.  Rachel and Julianna got an opportunity to hear from speakers including Massachusetts Commissioner of Agriculture John Leboux, Senator Marc Pacheco, Representative Paul Schmid, and others on the topic of Massachusetts Agriculture.   Rachel spoke to the crowd about the importance of Agricultural Education and both students got an opportunity to network with the leaders of Massachusetts.

2022 Senior Essay Contest

Topic: How has Bristol Aggie improved or changed your future plans?

Award: $200 for first place and $100 for second place 

Essay Criteria:

Essays will be judged upon the content of the paper. However, as in life, presentation will be noticed.

Other Criteria:

• Two-page minimum

• Double spaced

• Size 14 font

• One-inch margin top and sides

• Indent the line of each paragraph

• Write your name and the date on a cover page. Do not put your name/identifying names on any other page.

• If your paper has a title, type it in the center of the first line. Double space twice to begin your essay.

• Use easy to read fonts such as Times New Roman.

Submission Date:

Essays must be e-mailed to Mr. Johnson (cjohnson@bcahs.com) by 2:30 pm on Friday, April 15th. There is NO exception to this deadline.

All submissions become the property of Bristol County Agricultural High School and may be used for recruitment purposes.

The winner will be invited to read their essay at Academic Awards Night.

Tickets will go on sale the week we are back from April break. Sales will start Wednesday, April 27th in the morning, during lunches and after school until 3:15p.m. through Student Services and in the lunchroom. Tickets will be able to be purchased by cash or check; however, checks are discouraged in case funds must be returned to students. Tickets are first come, first serve so students should purchase tickets as soon as possible to be sure they receive a spot. Tickets will be $75.00 and students will be able to choose table seating after tickets have been purchased. 

For Outside Guests: In order to bring an outside guest please make sure to fill out this form and return it to Ms. Costa along with a copy or picture of the guest’s ID.
