PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES-THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 17TH
Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, November 17th and we are using the same software called SignUP for our conferences. We are continuing to offer both day and night options for in-person parent conferences. The first session will be from 12:30-3:00 and the second session will be from 6:00-8:00 pm. Please have your student schedule with teacher names available so you can book your appointments. All appointments are 8 minutes in duration. Please do not book appointments back to back since you need to leave time for you to travel from room to room and please ensure that you give yourself enough time to travel from the north campus (CSE and Student Commons) to the south campus (Gilbert Hall, Flori, Ag Mech, etc).
Here are a few tips to consider when signing up for parent teacher conferences:
Ensure that you have your child’s schedule with you before you sign up for conferences:
Ensure you indicate your child's name in the sign up.
Try to schedule conferences on south campus then north campus if possible
Give yourself time to travel from class to class (especially between north and south campus)
The format is as follows on Thursday, November 17th
12:30-3:00 pm:
6:00-8:00 pm :

Reminder: we are offering two sessions of conferences: 12:30-3:00 and 6:00-800 pm.
Unfortunately, we are not able to fulfill all requests in two sessions. If at any time you would like to meet with a teacher, counselor, or administrator, please do not hesitate to contact them directly. If you have any questions or concerns regarding using SignUP, please do not hesitate to contact me (KBraga@bcahs.com).

A note from your nurse…
Date: 11/10/2022
Dear Parents or Guardian:
It may be hard to determine when you should keep your child home when they are sick. The following are guidelines to help determine that decision.
Definitely keep your child at home if he or she has any of these symptoms:
Fever 100.0 degrees or greater, your child may return to school only after his or her temperature has been consistently below 100.0 degrees for 24 hours without fever reducing medications
Vomiting (even once)
Diarrhea
Chills
General Malaise or feelings of fatigue, weakness or muscle aches
Frequent congestion (wet) or croupy cough
To help prevent the flu/cold, re-enforce your child’s good hygiene habits:
Wash hands frequently
Do not touch eyes, nose or mouth
Cover mouth and nose when sneezing or coughing, use a paper tissue, throw it away and then wash hands
Avoid close contact with people who are sick
If your child had any episodes of vomiting, diarrhea or fever. Keep your child at home. Even if they are feeling better and want to attend class. Do Not Send the Student To School. Keeping a sick child at home will minimize the spread of infections and viruses in the classroom. Please keep in mind after 3 consecutive school days missed, a medical doctor's note is required to return to campus.
Students need to be healthy and feeling well in order to learn at their full potential. Please call the Nurse’s office if you have any questions. Thank you in advance for helping make this school year as healthy as possible.
