- Cross Country: Congratulations to the boys and girls Cross Country teams for their victories against Norfolk Aggie in yesterday’s first meet. Returning senior captain Cam Platt started the season off with an impressive sub 20 minute race, which was good for 1st place in the meet. The lady Chieftains were led by senior captain Lauren Biedak, and juniors Kennedy Alves and Victoria Gonsalves. The chieftains also had impressive finishes by freshmen Zach Brides, Robert Burdick, and Kaiden Conroy. Nice job Chieftains! Come support the team next Tuesday when they face off against Bristol Plymouth.
- Volleyball: The Lady Chieftains had their home opener Tuesday night against Southeastern. They played 5 hard matches and were able to fight their way to a win. While the win was only possible because of their team effort, Junior Julie Braga kept spirits high with 6 straight service points, helping close a 10 point deficient in the second set. Senior Captain Savanna Nadeau helped to shut down the Hawks offense with 7 successful blocks and Senior Captain Kori Botelho had two major kills to help lock down the win. A great overall team effort by the Lady Chieftains and they look forward to Norfolk Aggie's trip here Thursday evening.
