Aggie Weekly- December 4th

Good Afternoon Students, Parents, and Community Members:

We welcomed our students and staff back from the Thanksgiving break.  We hope everyone was safe so we can continue to provide in-person learning.  With so many towns and cities in Bristol County in the red, we hope to remain in-person as long as possible.  We continue to appreciate students staying home if they have symptoms and we believe this has allowed us to be in-person with no shutdowns this year.  Continue to be vigilant so we can continue to work with our students to provide them the best education possible under these circumstances.  Enjoy and be safe!

Dual Enrollment Opportunities - BCC

All students will receive an email regarding dual enrollment opportunities through Bristol Community College for Spring 2021. These courses are offered to many local vocational and technical high schools so enrollment is first come, first serve. These courses will be completely ONLINE. Students are eligible if they have a 2.5 G.P.A. from Bristol Aggie. (If students have previously taken a BCC course they must have at least a 3.0 G.P.A. through the college) These courses are at no cost to you (some fees and books are not covered). The offerings are listed below, spaces will be filling up fast so please reach out if you and your student are interested. Some courses require an Accuplacer placement test/score before enrollment and at this moment BCC has permitted online testing - please see more information here. However, if the student has taken their PSATs or SATs they may use that score in place of the Accuplacer. There are some courses listed that do not require an Accuplacer score.

In order to enroll, students must reach out to Ms. Costa to ensure they are prepared for the course and have the appropriate prerequisites. Students and parents may not sign up for any dual enrollment course on their own. Please see below for the free course offerings or check out BCC’s academic course listings for courses that are not free. Students may also register for a course that is not listed here.

Please click on the name of the course below for more information from the BCC website. If you are interested or have any questions you may reach out to Ms. Costa

Here is the paperwork that should be completed in order to register for a course. Students who are under 16 years of age must also complete this sheet.  Paperwork must be submitted to Ms. Costa by December 18 to process before the holiday break.
