Greetings Bristol Aggie Community,
This week we released our midterm schedule which will take place next week. With students being absent due to COVID, we wanted to address some FAQs that you may currently have regarding exams next week:
If I am out this or last week, am I responsible for the midterm exam?
Answer: Yes. This is a quarterly exam which started November 8th. The goal of this exam is for us to analyze student’s learning and for us to make adjustments if necessary.
If I am out next week due to COVID, can I still take the midterm exam?
Answer: Yes. If you are out because of COVID, which has been determined by our school nurse, Ms. Anderson, and are feeling well enough to take the test, you will be able to access the Edulastic Exam. Some students are asymptomatic and others may be feeling better on certain days that they can partake in the exams. The Edulastic program has anti-cheating software to ensure the integrity of the test.
If I am out next week due to COVID, am I required to take a midterm exam virtually?
Answer: No. If you are out of school and are sick, you will be given a zero on the midterm exam until the exam is made up once you return. Grades close on Friday, January 21st and therefore will need to close out grades. Once the exam is made up, a grade change form will be completed by the teacher and an updated report card will be reflected in PowerSchool.
I play a sport and have no ride back to school, can I stay at school?
Answer: Yes. If you play basketball or wrestling, you will have the opportunity to stay after school in the gym. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mr. Poloskey (KPoloskey@bcahs.com).
Are there PE classes during midterms?
Answer: No. PE will not have classes next week.
Over the last two years we have had to adapt each day to the effects of the pandemic in the classroom. Our professional development objective this year is to identify gaps in learning and use the information (data) to inform instruction in the classroom. Midterm exams are an important data point that we will need to guide us for the second half of the school year. We encourage our students to prepare themselves to the best of their abilities, and we will continue to reflect on how to improve as a school community.

Large Animal Science: On Wednesday in Ms. Gagne’s senior class, students developed a Stable Design project that was created by Geralyn Randall & Juliana Price for Stable Mgmt class. Attention Parents Grades 9-11:
Date: January 12, 2022
Subject: Grade 9-11 Student Course Selection
Greetings students, parents, and guardians:
Like last year, we are utilizing the online scheduler through PowerSchool tools that we will use to develop student schedules. The first step is for students and parents to discuss the Course Selection (see grade specific course selection below). Then the student will meet with their academic teacher (see timeline below) to discuss their request and the teacher recommendation. If there is a conflict, the student will schedule an appointment with their school counselor (NOTE: There is no course level change form like in previous years). Please click the following links below to help you select your course next year. Stay tuned for more information as we get closer to scheduling.
Student Scheduling Time Frame:
Step 1: January 25-January 29: Student reviews course selection (see image below) options with parent/guardian.
Class of 2025- ORANGE
Class of 2024- PURPLE
Class of 2023- BLUE
Step 2: January 31-February 11: Teachers will input recommendations into PowerSchool.
Step 3: Feb 14-18: If there are no conflicts with student requests and teacher recommendations, then the students will log into PowerSchool and “Accept” their recommendations from their teachers. If there is a conflict, students will schedule a time to meet with their school counselor.
Step 4: March 1-June 1: Once all requests and recommendations have been submitted and accepted, we will begin to build the schedule for the 2021-2022 school year. Students will have tentative schedules prior to leaving this school year.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your school counselor.
