Aggie Weekly
Good Afternoon Students, Parents, and Community Members:
We hope everyone enjoyed Fall Show as much as we did! We continued to be impressed
with the the level of student achievement. We made a few adjustments this year with a
focus on Student Showcase and we heard from our students that they enjoyed this new
element. We will continue to fine tune it each year to highlight student success, and what
makes Bristol Aggie unique and special. We would also like to thank all of our volunteers
over the weekend: PTO, Boosters, and all the other activities that parents and volunteers
helped out. Without you, Fall Show would not be possible.

In addition to Student Showcase, we integrated academic teachers into the Vo-Ags
during Fall Show week and both our students and faculty enjoyed the experience.
See the poem below from English Teacher, Mrs. Coderre regarding her experience in
Arbor. This is truly a testament that we learn as much from our students, as they do
from us as educators. #BAPride

Lessons from a Tree
Like a tree, we are composed of many growth rings.
Together they form our human existence.
The present is that outer layer ~ the now,
but we are built upon all those layers of the past.
We carry all of them along with us.
Some are layers of dead wood and not useful,
but others are vibrant and still necessary for our well-being.
They say that a tree never heals, but rather
it builds protective layers over its wound.
It compartmentalizes the hurt and creates a productive life around it.
It may grow to be a very grand tree,
but it will always carry that scar.
It does not try to hide, but wears it in plain sight
as if to say: I have been hurt in the past, but I have overcome.
I am a survivor.
We should all live our lives like a tree.
Thank you Lacey Parker, Arboriculture major, for your lesson on the tree.

On Wednesday, October 31st, an online portal will open at 8:00 am that will allow parents and guardians
to set up conferences with teachers. Parent Teacher Conferences will be held Thursday, November 15th.
This year we will have two different meeting times to accommodate more parents to visit with teachers.
The first meeting time will be from 12:30-2:30 and the second from 6:00-8:00 pm. The sign-ups for parent
teacher conferences will work the same as last year, as you will need to register to see a teacher through this
portal. All appointments are 8 minutes in duration. Please do not book appointments back to back since
you need to leave time for you to travel from room to room. In addition, we will have the Seven Hills
Foundation available for parents to walk through in RM 208 to discuss the dangers of vaping. This
workshop set up in RM 208 is an area for parents (no students will be allowed to enter) to discuss
the dangers of vaping and to learn the different forms of vaping devices.
