Scholarships 2020-2021
Reminder to check the Scholarships sheet weekly. New scholarships are added often!
BA Scholarship
It is that time of the year, Bristol County Agricultural High School is releasing their application for several scholarship opportunities. This one form will put your student in the running for multiple scholarships that are only available to BA seniors! That means they will only be against their classmates and not the general public. This application is a simple form and will take only a few minutes to complete. Please be accurate with the information you are reporting on the form. In addition to filling out the electronic from, it must be electronically signed by a parent/guardian and the student. The student must also submit a copy of a letter of acceptance to the school they plan on attending, if they are already listed on the Senior Acceptances list then we already have their letter of acceptance and do not need another copy from them. If we do not have a letter please submit a photocopy, picture or forward it to Ms. Kochan in Student Services. The form and letter of acceptance must be submitted by the end of the day, April 16.
If the materials and application are not submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2021 you will not be considered in the running for any of the scholarships. Please email Ms. Kochan - with any questions!
The link to apply is here: BA Scholarship Application - students can only access the form using their Bristol Aggie email address.
Bristol Community College On-Site Admissions for Seniors
We will be hosting an On-Site Admissions for Bristol Community College on Monday, April 12 from 8:30-1:45. This is an opportunity for students who have not yet applied to Bristol Community College but would like to. Once you fill out the Google form below you must fill out the attached application form and the student records release request form and give to Ms. Kochan to hold onto.
On-Site Admissions allows you to meet with an admissions counselor virtually and have them review your application to Bristol Community College. Once they are done they will send you an acceptance letter on the spot! This takes less than 15 minutes and requires nothing but the completed application and student records release form from you. If you have already applied to BCC then you cannot participate in the On-Site Admissions.
There is NO fee to participate in the On-Site Admissions so disregard the application fee on the application form.
Steps to participate in On-Site Admissions:
1. Sign Up Here
2. Print out and complete BCC Application
3. Fill out Records Release Form (*if you are 18 or older you do not need a parent signature on the Application or Records Release Request Form)
4. Return BCC Application to Ms. Kochan in Student Services
5. Wait for the email to confirm appointment time (we will email students by 4/9)

Essay Contest:
billofrightsinstitute.org
Apr 01, 2021
Essay Contest on the Relationship Between Equality and Justice
The Bill of Rights Institute is awarding $20,000 in scholarship prizes to 16 students in grades 8–12 (aged 14–19) who can explain, in 500 to 800 words, what they think the relationship is between Equality and Justice. To truly explore the question in the We the Students essay contest, students will need to go beyond “dictionary definitions” and express their understanding and reasoning about the connection between these two principles. This reasoning involves a combination of observation, experience, and “big ideas”: What does it take to understand these two principles? to build toward and maintain them? to see them with regard to each other? Why is this relationship important? Winning essays will convey how Equality and Justice are not just abstract ideas but are also part of the actions and choices of people every day. The first-place student will receive a $7,500 scholarship prize; five runners-up will each receive a $1,500 scholarship, and ten honorable mention winners will each receive a $500 scholarship.
