Good Afternoon Students, Parents, and Community Members:
Today was the last full day for seniors as we approach graduation next week. We were able to host Field Day with the seniors and the juniors were there to cheer them on! Final grades are posted for the seniors and those that met the standard will be participating in our graduation ceremony. With only a few weeks left of school, we want to remind the rest of our students to stay focused and continue to work hard until all your assignments are completed. Please enjoy your long weekend.
REMEMBER THE FALLEN: Remember to take the time this weekend to reflect on those who paid the ultimate sacrifice so we can enjoy our liberties. We are fortunate to live in a country where so many men and women volunteer to protect these liberties with the understanding that they may have to give their lives to protect their loved ones. Please be safe this weekend.

Next year we will be distributing these devices to all students prior to the start of school. Please stay tuned for a schedule for picking up devices prior to the first day of school on Tuesday, August 31st. Parents & Students must sign and return the Surface GO agreement form document before the Surface GO can be issued to their child.

As this is the final week of Mental Health Awareness month, we wanted to provide you with a few more ideas from calm.com you can use to help yourself and focus on your own self-care.
Let go of the need to be validated by others and instead practice validating and accepting yourself.
Be kind to yourself. Do something that’s good for your mental health.
Explore when you might need some stronger boundaries in your life. Honor your needs.
Cultivate self-compassion by letting go of perfectionism. Tell yourself “I am enough.”
Ask for help if you need it.
Step back and observe your thoughts. Recognize patterns and challenge your thoughts by asking “is this true?”

Summer Enrichment Opportunities:
A Note From Your School Nurse
Now that warmer days are upon us, it is important to stay HYDRATED. Throughout the CSE building you will find no touch water fountains where refilling reusable water bottles is a breeze! Water keeps every system in the body functioning properly. Water has many important jobs, such as:
carrying nutrients and oxygen to your cells
flushing bacteria from your bladder
aiding digestion
preventing constipation
normalizing blood pressure
stabilizing the heartbeat
cushioning joints
protecting organs and tissues
regulating body temperature
maintaining electrolyte (sodium) balance.
Giving your body enough fluids to carry out those tasks means that you're staying hydrated. Your goal should be 10 cups (2.3 liters) of water per day. When enjoying sports or any physical activity you should strive for 15 cups (3.5 liter) of water.
If you don't drink enough water each day, you risk becoming dehydrated. Warning signs of dehydration include weakness, low blood pressure, dizziness, confusion, or urine that's dark in color . Be safe with friends and family over Memorial Day Weekend! Please remember to bring your reusable water bottle to school and wherever you go! Below are warning signs and symptoms of heat-related illness to watch for and what to do if such occasions arise.
