Good Afternoon Students, Parents, and Community Members:
This week was our first week of back to school for 5 days of in-person learning. We enjoyed seeing our students every day this week and one more step towards normalcy. Tonight is prom and we remind parents to be at the Ridder Country Club in East Bridgewater no later than 9:45 to pick up your child. The dance will conclude at 10:00 pm.
Last Day of School- Monday, June 21st
Student Trustee: Greetings Class of 2022 and Class of 2023: Each year a student is selected to participate at the Board of Trustees meeting which is held twice per month on Tuesday night at 7:00 pm in Keith Hall. The Student Trustee will be tasked with providing updates on what is happening at school (sports, NHS ceremony) as well as provide input when appropriate. This opportunity is only open for juniors and seniors. Once you have completed the survey, you will be contacted for an interview with Mr. Braga and Superintendent Sands. Please click here to sign up. Any questions, contact Mr. Braga (KBraga@bcahs.com).

Student Vaccination Opportunities: (Ages 12 and Up):
Option 1: The Board of Health of Westport has 1,170 Pfizer vaccines and will be administering them Thursday, May 20th at the Town Annex in Westport, Ma from 12:00 to 6:00 pm. Please click here to sign up.
Option 2: Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccination clinics, offered across the region, will now be open to individuals aged 12 and older. This decision follows the FDA’s Emergency Use Authorization of the Pfizer vaccine for 12 to 15-year old’s earlier this week, as well as the CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices’ recommendation on Wednesday. A Southcoast primary care provider is NOT required to participate in Southcoast Health’s clinics, and all COVID-19 vaccines are no cost.
Minors will need to have a parent or legal guardian sign a Massachusetts consent form at the clinic or bring a signed copy downloaded from https://www.mass.gov/lists/ma-consent-forms-for-people-under-18-years-of-age. The form must include a parent or legal guardian’s phone in the event a staff member needs to contact them.
Patients under 18 years will need to call 508-973-1911 to schedule an appointment or may walk-in to any Southcoast Health vaccination clinic. Currently, online registration for COVID-19 vaccination appointments are only available for those 18 years of age or older.
Please refer to the COVID-19 vaccination information and schedule on the Southcoast Health website: COVID-19 Vaccination Information - Southcoast Health.
Arbor Jamboree: Click here to view the photos in the Taunton Gazette (courtesy of Mike Gay).
The Jamboree was last Friday. It was a great sunshiny day. All the students had fun and showed off their tree skills. We would like to thank so many people who made this event possible. We had 10 industry professionals who donated a day of their time to serve as a judge or technician. Thank you to all of them. Thank you to all of the supporters that came out to cheer on the climbers. Thank you to Shelter Tree Care Products for donating prizes for the winners. They have supported this event every year since its inception. We are extremely grateful for their support.

Attention Seniors:
Dear Students and Parents/Guardians of the Class of 2021,
Graduation is rapidly approaching and we are making final preparations for this memorable event, which is set for Thursday, June 3rd at 6:30 pm. As we discussed at our virtual town meeting on Tuesday, April 13th, we are planning to host graduation on our baseball field. If weather impacts an evening ceremony, then we will have a rain date on Friday, June 4th. We have been approved by our local board of health to host 4 guests per graduate that will be seated together. We are providing all the seating for guests which are properly spaced. Do not bring your own seat. This plan still has been approved by the Dighton Board of Health and therefore, we can not make alternative arrangements. We will provide the tickets at the mandatory graduation rehearsals on Tuesday, June 1st and 2nd at 8:30 am. Please see the sketches below that layout graduation guidelines. Please refer to our Graduation Guidelines for details.
To help prepare for graduation, we wanted to provide families with as much information regarding logistics as possible. Handicap and elderly seating will be available (limited quantity) on the field facing the graduates. If you require any handicap or elderly accommodations, please email Mr. Braga (KBraga@bcahs.com). Parents will be facing the graduates (overlooking the farm) on the field, and graduates will be facing home plate. Graduates will walk in between the family section (20 ft of separation) to their seats.
Graduation rehearsal is mandatory. If you do not participate in the graduation rehearsal you will not be able to walk at graduation. We are using this date to help distribute 4 tickets (1 vehicle per family/graduate is highly recommended) to each graduate, screening for cap decorations (click here for guidelines), and yearbooks will also be distributed at this time. Students will be reporting to the high school at 5:00 pm to conduct a mini rehearsal on graduation day.
Parking will be limited due to our ongoing construction so we are encouraging that graduates and families use the same vehicle to come to the ceremony. There will be handicap parking along the tree line at Gilbert Hall and the student parking lot has approximately 40 spaces. Additional parking will be at the hayfield.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me (KBraga@bcahs.com). We are excited to provide the Class of 2021 with a graduation ceremony on site. As we continue to plan for this exciting ceremony, a few changes may be made as we finalize our plans.

Keeping with Mental Health Awareness month, we want to help raise awareness for mental health. In an effort to help our Aggie community, we wanted to share with you some more helpful tips from calm.com to improve your self-care and help improve your emotional and mental well-being.
Step a tiny bit outside your comfort zone today
Log how you’re feeling in a journal.
Ask a friend or family member to give you 3 reasons why they care for you.
Pay attention to how different foods impact the way you feel. What do you want to eat more/less of?

FCC's $50 Monthly Discount on Internet Bill: Americans can begin applying for $50 off their monthly internet bill on Wednesday as part of an emergency government program to keep people connected during the pandemic.
The $3.2 billion program is part of the $900 billion December pandemic-relief package. The government is increasing spending on broadband as the pandemic made stark that millions of Americans did not have access to, and could not afford, broadband at a time when jobs, school and health care was moving online.
It's unclear how long the money will last but it's expected to be several months. Tens of millions of people are eligible, although the Federal Communications Commission, which is administering the program, did not specify a number.
Congressional Art Gala:
On behalf of Congressman Auchincloss, you are invited to a Virtual Art Gala on Wednesday, May 19th from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM for the Congressional Art Competition. Sixty-seven talent artists from across our district submitted incredible work across different mediums, from photography and graphic design to painting and drawing. To celebrate your artwork, the Office of Congressman Auchincloss, in partnership with the Attleboro Arts Museum, will host a virtual gala. Please extend this invitation to family, friends, colleagues, and other people in your life. To RSVP for the event, click here.
The event will begin with a rotating gallery of the artists’ work before our judges begin the program at 7:30 PM. Recognition will be given to artists whose piece wins “Best in Show”. We look forward to celebrating your incredible work at the virtual gala.
Activities and Athletics:
GSA: Now that we are in person on Wednesdays, GSA will be meeting in Ms. Szurley’s room (2303) from 3-4 PM. We will be running the Google Meet concurrently for our at home students. If you would like to join us, all our welcome!
