With more than 50 million people of Latino descent currently living in the United States, Latino Americans have become the nation's largest minority group. Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15 to Oct. 15) celebrates the histories, cultures and accomplishments of Latinos, who have helped shape the United States over the last five centuries.

Parent-Teacher Night:
Welcome to another school year. We look forward to seeing you all at our Parent/Teacher Nights taking place on Thursday, September 22, 2022 and Thursday, November 17, 2022. Our September evening will be structured as a welcome with an opportunity to hear from your student’s teachers. Please bring your student with you as you will be following his/her Thursday “A week” schedule as outlined below. All Physical Education classes will be addressed during our welcome in the Gym (this is a change from Student Commons). Freshmen Vocational Teachers will be introduced during periods 1 & 2 in the Gym (this is a change from Student Commons).. Unless indicated otherwise, please follow your student’s schedule and room assignments on the next page. A map of Gilbert Hall and CSE are linked to help you navigate. Please feel free to visit the Media Center during lunch periods to activate your PowerSchool (click here for the Parent User Guide) account if you have not done so already. Our November evening will be structured in a format that allows for brief 1:1 time and an opportunity to discuss your student’s progress in a more personalized manner. More information will be sent in the future.
This school year we will communicate academic progress via ParentPortal. Every teacher at BCAHS will be posting grades to the ParentPortal system approximately every two weeks. Once you have registered your ParentPortal account, you will receive an automated email every time your students’ teacher posts an update. Please be sure to check the portal regularly as important information from our Student Services Department is also posted throughout the year. We look forward to seeing you on September 22nd. Please contact us if you have any additional questions.
In the Classroom:
Senior Equine: In Ms. Gagne’s class, Senior Equine Science majors, were back in the saddle on Tuesday! Students were beginning to prepare for this year's Fall Show! #BAPride
Health: In Mr. Poloskey, Ms. McCann, and Ms. Kirby's health classes, students were discussing healthy habits.
Ag Mechanics: In Mr. Howard’s sophomore small engines class, students were working on disassembling the Honda GXV530 two cylinder engines. They are taking them apart completely and will reassemble and HOPEFULLY they all run!

Biology: In Ms. Canuel's Bio class, students learned about the unique properties of H2O. What better way to explore than using the BA irrigation pond! Students observed surface tension & specific heat in action by collecting and observing invertebrates & analyzing air/H2O temps. #BAPride
The Foundation Dinner: On Saturday, we hosted our 6th annual Farm to Table dinner on campus. What a beautiful night we had to raise money for our students.
Dear Bristol Aggie Families,
As a reminder, we are instituting a state mandated screening program in tenth grade related to the use of alcohol, marijuana, nicotine, and other substances. The Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) program screening process is part of the annual state mandated screenings. All screenings are interview based and will be conducted in confidential individual sessions by our Student Services staff. The screenings will take place from September 26th until September 28th. We will utilize the CRAFFT+N interview.
If you would like to opt your child out of this screening, please complete the SBIRT Opt Out Form by Friday, September 23rd. In addition, screening is voluntary and students may choose not to answer any or all of the questions. Please contact any of the staff members listed below if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
The Student Services Team
Ms. Anderson, Ms. Boudreau, Ms. Costa, Ms. Kochan, and Mrs. O’Connell
